Today’s chapter: Psalm 46

Today’s verse: Psalm 46:7

The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.

The army of the Philistines was confident of victory. They had a champion in their camp and they felt invincible.

The Philistines were so content that they thought it unnecessary to go to war. Why fight a battle? We could let Goliath fight with the best warrior our opponent can find.

After all no one is as mighty or as powerful as Goliath. The sight of our champion will paralyze the enemy with fear.

The challenges you face may seem like Goliath the champion of Gath. They may seem insurmountable. Defeat may seem like your expected end. But things can change for you.

The Philistines had Goliath as their champion and David had God the Champion of champions.

The Champion protected David and his sheep. God the Champion gave David victory over the lion and the bear and He will do the same for you.

David said moreover, The LORD that delivered me out of the paw of the lion, and out of the paw of the bear, he will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine. (1 Samuel 17:37)

David was not afraid of Goliath and he didn’t worry about the battle. He trusted that his undisputed Champion would fight for him.

What can you learn from David?

✓Do not be overcome by fear

✓Don’t worry about the battle

✓Let the Champion of champions fight for you

The battle may seem too huge for you. The enemy may have unmatched skills. You may feel there is no way you can win.

Don’t be afraid. Don’t give up hope. You have the Champion of champions on your team. The undisputed Champion will fight for you.

The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge

The Philistines didn’t bother to fight. They sent out their champion Goliath to fight for them.

Why bother with fighting? Use the tactic of the Philistines! Send out the Champion of champions to fight for you.

He used a tiny stone and a sling shot to gain victory over Goliath and the Philistines and He can do so much more for you.

Let go. Don’t fear. Let the Champion of champions fight for you and victory will be yours.
