About Empowering Godly Wives

Hi, I’m Donnaree!

From the moment I said goodbye to the classroom and started my journey as a freelance writer, I knew one thing: I wanted to start a ministry for Christian wives.

I was new to online writing then, had a lot of catching up to do on social media, needed to start a writer website, and also had to figure out how to bring this ministry to life. It felt like an insurmountable task but I started by faith.

With the help of a phenomenal friend, the phrase Empowering Godly Wives was born along with the tagline Inspire Empower Transform. I began writing short devotionals that encouraged daily worship, Bible reading, and prayer and called them Daily Bites. I also wrote articles about love, marriage, and relationships and started a publication on Medium.

I have taken this ministry a step further by starting this website in order to allow free access to all my blog posts. Yes, there is no need to worry about becoming a member on Medium, not getting a friend link to access my posts, or thinking about how many more free articles you have left for the month.

My vision is to provide wholesome Christian content and resources for women like you to help you fortify your walk with Christ and strengthen your marriage.

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. (Romans 12:2)

The Empowering Godly Wives blog has a wide range of devotionals, Bible studies, how-to articles, and other resources that will inspire, empower, and transform your life.

A blessing awaits you!

Not By Might But By Your Spirit

Zechariah 4:6 helps us to believe in the mantra, “Little is much when God is in it.” We don’t have to worry about quantity and size because our victories are not by might or power but by the Spirit of the Lord.

Be Alert and Sober! (Don’t Underestimate Your Opponent)

According to 1 Peter 5:8, we have to be alert and sober-minded because we shouldn’t underestimate the power, experience, and preparation of the devil, who will do everything to overpower and overcome you.

Peace Be Still! (Three Simple Steps to Embrace Stillness)

Peace Be Still is all about pausing and putting a stop to our own efforts, calling on Jesus for Him to help you, and allowing the Lord to transform your life by stilling your tempests and offering you peace.

  • Don’t Go Barefoot

    Don’t Go Barefoot

God does not expect us to travel barefoot on our journey of faith. He wants us to be equipped and protected as we obey His words in Ephesians 6:15, which tells us to keep our feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.

    Getting Ready for Takeoff

Getting ready for takeoff means that we have to follow the advice in Proverbs 4:26. We have to give careful thought to the path for our feet in order not to overlook, forget, or ignore simple things that will prevent us from taking off on our spiritual journey.
