New Beginnings: 4 Bible Verses to Keep You Hopeful
A new school year, moving into a new home, starting a new job, having a baby, and celebrations like birthdays and anniversaries are a few things in the life of a mom and wife that point to new beginnings. These new beginnings bring sentiments of newness, hope, and a fresh start.
Physical and Spiritual New Beginnings
As empowered godly wives, we are aware that things are constantly changing, renewal is almost always taking place, and new beginnings happen in the physical and spiritual aspects of our lives.
Some of our new beginnings, like moving into a new home, take place after much effort. Others, like the start of a new school year, are attached to feelings of anxiety, doubt, and even fear. Birthdays, anniversaries, and other milestones are accompanied by celebrations and hopefulness for the future.
The book of Romans reminds us that we should be joyful, hopeful, patient, and prayerful as we experience the new beginnings in our lives.
Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. (Romans 12:12 NIV)
4 Bible Verses About New Beginnings
A new home, celebrations, renewal, and a new heaven and earth are some of the new beginnings that are promised to all empowered godly wives who remain faithful.
New beginnings and the various challenges and emotions that come with them are preparing us for that new beginning that has been promised to us.
New Home Bible Verse
“Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. ² My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? ³ And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. (John 14:1-3 NIV)
St. John fourteen promises a new beginning in an amazing new house. Think about the joy and sense of accomplishment you felt when you moved into a new home, then multiply that by a million. That’s how amazing this new experience will be.
Celebration
Blessed and holy are those who share in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him for a thousand years. (Revelation 20:6 NIV)
Revelation chapter twenty promises a new beginning where we will have a grand thousand-year celebration with Jesus. The birthdays, graduations, anniversaries, and other things we celebrate now will never be able to compare to us being priests and priestesses who triumph over death.
Renewal
‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” (Revelation 21:4 NIV)
We hopefully look forward to that time of renewal when the struggles and hardships of this life will be no more. Tears, mourning, and pain will be replaced with eternal joy.
New heaven and new earth
But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, where righteousness dwells. (2 Peter 3:13 NIV)
A phenomenal beginning with a new heaven and a new earth is promised to each and every godly wife who remains faithful. Are you looking forward to that new beginning? I definitely want to see you there!
Prayer
Prayer for Hopeful New Beginnings
Amazing God,
In the beginning, You created heaven and the earth, and in a time to come, You will replace this tainted world with a new heaven and a new earth. Help me to appreciate the new beginnings that happen in my life now. Help other wives, mothers, and women of faith to embrace each new beginning in their lives as they look to the future in hope.
Lord, I want to be a part of that amazing new beginning that You have in store for all those who remain faithful. May anxiety, fear, sickness, death, and tears dim in comparison to the future of hope that is ahead of me. Help us to be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, and faithful in prayer as we look forward to that eternal new beginning. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.
