Today’s chapter: Psalm 84
Today’s verse: Psalm 84:11
For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.

There is much truth in the saying, “walk good and good will follow you”.
Even while surrounded by situations that seem miserably bad, good will prevail.
Walk good, do good and be good because this will be an inspiration to others.
The story of: the Good Samaritan, Rahab helping the spies, and Joshua and Caleb giving a honest report are great examples of: walking, doing, and being good.
Walk good like the Good Samaritan
The Good Samaritan was upright in his walk and mindset. He did what a priest refuses to do. He looked beyond who the wounded person was and attended to his needs.
Do Good like Rahab
Rahab had no obligation to help the Israelite spies. She was compelled to do good for complete strangers at the risk of being caught. (See Joshua chapter 2)
Be Good like Joshua and Caleb
Joshua and Caleb intentionally chose to be good by providing an honest report. They prefered to give a honest report and contradict the other spies than agree with them for the sake of blending in. In the end the other spies died and God rewarded Joshua and Caleb for their honesty. (Numbers chapters 13 and 14)
Be steadfast in doing good
If you are steadfast in doing good in seemingly bad situations, gradually the process of transformation will take place around you.
In addition to the transformation that will take place, Psalm 84:11 promises that God will bless those who walk uprightly.
For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.
Treat your enemy with compassion like the Good Samaritan, offer hospitality like Rahab, and be intentional in doing good (like Joshua and Caleb) even if it means not blending in.
Walk good and INSPIRE others.
Do good and EMPOWER others.
Be good and TRANSFORM others.
Decide today to walk good, be good, and do good.
