Daily Bite- Trust in God

Today’s chapter: Psalm 56

Today’s verse: Psalm 56:4

In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me.

When thinking about the motto for the United States of America a popular Jamaican saying comes to mind. “A good friend is better than pocket money”. A good friend is someone who you are able to trust, depend on and confide in.

The phrase In God We Trust reflects the sentiment that God is indeed a good friend to have. The United States of America joined pocket money and a good friend by using the inscription In God We Trust on its money.

You too can join a good friend and pocket money by making trust in God your official currency.

Trust in God would have been a sentiment that reflected the journey, the struggles and the victories of the American people.

Your journey in life and the struggles you face may be seen as a victory if you place your trust in God.

God is a good friend to have along your journey and through your struggles. God, unlike pocket money will not ‘run out’. He will always be there with you.

Acknowledge Him as a good friend on your journey of life. Trust in Him when you are going through difficult times and praise Him when you get to your victories.

Place your trust in God and prove Him as your friend who is better than pocket money.
