O Lord our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!

During and at the end of the 2008 Olympic Games the most majestic and excellent name was Usain Bolt. Bolt broke and set a new Olympic and world record with his phenomenal 9.69 seconds in the 100-meter finals and 19.30 seconds in the 200-meter finals.

Bolt’s performance won him glory and fame from out of the mouth of young and old, babes and sucklings, athletic fans and non athletic fans. He went on to defend and retain his title as the world’s fastest man in the 2012 and 2016 Olympics and subsequent world championships.

Bolt is considered to be the fastest man of all times and due to his significant speed has been nicknamed ‘Lightning Bolt’. Usain Bolt/Lightning Bolt is a household name that is known all around the globe.

The accomplishments of Bolt have won him and his country Jamaica much glory. The pride felt by the Jamaican people to know and be associated with this outstanding athlete is nothing short of phenomenal.

This is the same way that David felt when he thought about the heavens and all that God has created. Yes that includes you and me.

Isn’t it fascinating that the person you claim as your spouse is a part of God’s magnificent creation?

God crowned your spouse with glory and honour and that’s exactly how you should see him. He’s an ‘angel’ living here on earth and sharing life with you.

I can imagine that there might be many sports that Usain Bolt would be very awful at. But that doesn’t stop people all around the world from acknowledging that he’s the world’s fastest man.

Your spouse may not be the best at doing certain things but that shouldn’t stop you from seeing him as the world’s best man. Go ahead and give him the glory he deserves.

He was created and crowned by the Creator and he’s the best man you could ever ask for. To deny this is to say that God isn’t the excellent creator who formed the moon, stars and the heavens above.

Treat your husband like the ‘Lightning Bolt’ he is. Shower him with love and throw a little glory in his direction.
