Empowering Godly Wives Prayer For My Husband to Get Baptized

One of the greatest desires of many empowered godly wives is for their husbands to accept the Lord and get baptized. Today we’ll look at a prayer that wives may say as they pray for their husbands to surrender their lives to the Lord.

Prayer

This prayer is not just a request for a husband to get baptized. It’s also a request for discernment, nudgings from the Holy Spirit, submission to God’s will, transformation, and developing the fruit of the Spirit.

A Prayer for Your Husband to Get Baptized

Holy Father,

I thank You for your love, mercy, and provision. I thank You for my husband and for your graciousness towards our marriage. Lord, I want to place him one more time in your holy care.

You know that one of my greatest desires is to see my husband get baptized. You promised in your word that You will give us the desires of our heart.

“Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.” (Psalms 37:4 KJV)

I pray that wherever he is at this moment, he will allow the Holy Spirit to speak to him. Lord, help him to be receptive to the nudgings of the Spirit. Give him the discernment needed to identify your voice so that he may not blaspheme against the Holy Spirit.

Until he is able to give up his will and desires, he will not take that step to get baptized. Lord, help him to submit to your good, perfect, and pleasing will. Impress upon him the desire to get baptized and walk in the newness of life. Help him not to ignore or suppress this desire but to act without delaying.

As the Holy Spirit nudges him, I pray that he will be transformed by the renewing of his mind. May he resist the urge to find pleasure in worldly things but develop a desire for spiritual things. Cultivate within him the fruit of the Spirit. Give him the love, joy, peace, gentleness, and meekness needed to surrender his life to You.

Help him to put aside pride and not worry about the comments of naysayers. I pray that he will be bold and confident as he prepares for his baptism.

I thank You for being the God who hears and cares. I believe in the promise that You hear before I call and answer while I am speaking. I confidently submit this prayer in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Final Though

It is my desire that the Lord will graciously grant the request of all wives who are praying for their husbands to get baptized. I sincerely hope that the Holy Spirit will inspire and transform husbands into godly men who will surrender their will to the Lord daily.
