Empowering Godly Wives Peace in the Eye of the Storm

Hello to my Empowering Godly Wives family!

Today I want to reflect on finding peace in the eye of a storm.

While in the eye of Hurricane Melissa, there was calmness, quiet, and peace. This was the opposite of what took place before and after the passing of the eye. As a mother, woman of faith, and godly wife, life is similar to being in the eye of a storm.

While there is chaos around us and the demands of daily life seem to be more than we can manage, we still find peace, quiet, and calm.

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. (John 14:27 KJV)

Household chores, the demands of our jobs, school assignments, meetings, appointments, and so much more are like howling storms, but in all of this our faith in God cushions us.

Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: (Romans 5:1 KJV)

While in the eye of Hurricane Melissa, my family checked on neighbors, assessed damage, enjoyed the calmness, and got a few things done.

Similarly, empowered godly wives know exactly how to juggle and get things done while in the midst of life’s storms. This is because, like the woman with the issue of blood, we embrace the peace that Jesus has given to us.

And he said to the woman, Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace. (Luke 7:50 KJV)

Jesus wants us to embrace the peace that He has promised us so that we may find calmness in the midst of the storms that life throws at us. The peace that He offers is not fleeting but lasting and fulfilling.

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. (John 16:33 KJV)

Are you willing to embrace the peace that Jesus offers? Allow your faith in God to cushion you like the eye of a storm so that you may enjoy peace in the midst of chaos.
